Charles Ettlesen was B flight leader but on arrival in the UK he was transferred to the369th. Capt. Charles E Mosse took over B flight having been transferred in from the 369th. Both Cater and Ettlesen were later to be KIA, Cater on 4 June 1944 and Ettlesen on 19 February 1945.

Littlefriends.co.uk Group of 368th Fighter Squadron pilots dated Spring 1944. From L – R Capt. Wilbur H. Lewis, Capt. Howard L. Fogg Jr., Capt. John B. Hunter, Lt. Paul E. Olson, and Lt. Joseph M. Ashenmacher. The P-51 in view appears to be a B or C model and is noted on the reverse of the photo as “Olson’s Crate”. This does not currently fit in with those a/c associated with Olson and will be a matter of further research.
